John Day is a Louisiana native that has lived in Hot Springs, AR for over 20 years.

Day holds a B.A. in Speech Communication from Louisiana Tech University and a M.A. in Criminal Justice from Northeast Louisiana University, now the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Day worked for the Louisiana Department of Corrections as a probation and parole officer for ten years. He retired as a U.S. Probation Officer for the Western District of Arkansas after twenty-one years.

Day began teaching college classes at NPC as an adjunct instructor in 2012, teaching Criminal Justice and Intro to Sociology. He has been working full time at NPTC since September 2016.

Day currently teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice and Fundamentals of Law Enforcement at NPTC. He also teaches Legal Terminology online. He occasionally teaches Criminal Procedure and Evidence as well as Introduction to Sociology as an adjunct for NPC.

Day is an active member of the Pocket Community Theater as an actor and director.
