Dr. Rebekah Robinette, faculty in the Math/Science division, attended the 115th General
Meeting of American Society for Microbiology May 30th-June 2nd 2015 in New Orleans,
LA. She had a wonderful time obtaining professional development in a number of diverse
topics in her field. The sessions she attended included symposia on Metabolism on
the Single Cell Level, Next Generation Microbiology Education: Tried and True Evidence-Based
Learning Strategies and Outcomes, and The Ebola Epidemic: Management, Research, and
Treatments in Progress. Dr. Robinette’s students will no doubt benefit from the knowledge
she gleaned from these very interesting and educational sessions.
