Luis Garcia, Senior Respiratory Therapy student, Health Sciences Student of the Month As a young man Luis served our country for four years as a corpsman in the United States Navy. It was at that time he describes having a desire to do something in the medical field. After his service he began a career as a brick mason to support his family, and stayed with this profession for a loyal 22 years. Luis realized that he and his family had bigger dreams so he enrolled at National Park College and pursued his dream to become a professional. Luis received a 4.0 GPA for his last term and currently has a cumulative GPA of 3.47. Luis is currently a single parent of a boy and a girl. He also gives support to his parents who also reside in Hot Springs.
