I graduated from Garland County Community College in 2002 with an Associate of Science
in Nursing. I continued my education graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
from Arkansas Tech University in 2006 and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Walden
University in 2009. I have worked as a critical care nurse in a 16 bed ICU from 2002-2013.
I began working for NPCC in 2005 as a nursing tutor. In the fall of 2006, I started
working as a clinical adjunct. In fall of 2008, I was hired as a full-time nursing
faculty member for the AD Nursing program. In 2014, I was appointed AD Nursing Program
Director. I have also served as a program evaluator for the Accreditation Commission
for Education in Nursing (ACEN) since 2012 and in 2015 I was named one of the “40
Under 40 Nurse Leaders” by the Arkansas Action Coalition. I am currently pursuing
a doctoral degree in education from Walden University.
