Allan Mesko began teaching at National Park College in 1997. He received a B.A. in
Mathematics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and an M.A. in Radio-Television-Film
from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also certified as an Oracle Academy
instructor and a Microsoft Office Specialist.
His passion for music has given him the opportunity to play with Johnny Cash, Amy
Grant, Dann Huff, Steve Green, Wayne Watson, and the Gaither Vocal Band. Allan received
a Grammy Award nomination for his keyboard work on “Music Machine II,” and he has
arranged and recorded two solo piano albums.
He and his wife Kathy have three adult children, all of whom are musicians.
Allan is dedicated to lifelong learning and to passing on that knowledge. He aspires
to explain concepts in everyday language and likes to make learning fun for his students.
He strives to provide ideas in a real-world context so they may be applied to the
students’ lives.
