Program Overview
The Business Management/Marketing program is designed to prepare you for entry-level and mid-level management and marketing positions in a wide variety of businesses. You will become familiar with practices of Accounting, Business Law, Computing, Management, and Marketing. This program will give you a foundation of knowledge that is essential to function successfully in the workplace.
Program Structure
The program offers online classes for about 75% of the required courses.
You will learn to:
- Employ the business skills needed to be successful when opening/operating a small business
- Learn how to identify and analyze innovative business opportunities
- Assess the viability of concepts
- Develop and refine business idea(s) from concept through a complete business plan.
- Confidently pitch a new venture concept to potential customers and investors.
- Launch a business venture of your own
- Apply concepts gained through the program to foster innovation and growth within an existing company.
- Acquire the basic understanding of the business environment through the completion of core business classes.

Certificates and Degrees
Associate of Applied Science in Degree Business Management/Marketing
The Associate of Applied Science in Degree Business Management/Marketing option is a 60 credit hour program of study.
It is primarily intended for those interested in a business marketing career. Consequently, some courses in this program may not transfer to all senior institutions. Students who plan to transfer to a senior institution are strongly advised to correspond with the institution to which they plan to transfer.
All courses listed in the catalog are required, but the sequence of courses taken is based on availability and the necessity for prerequisites.
In the Business Division curricula, courses prerequisite to another class require a minimum grade of C in order to advance to the next course.
