National Park College Strategic Plan 2025-2030

Strategic Planning Process

The NPC 2025-2030 Strategic Plan was developed over a 12-month period and included input from many constituencies in Garland County, including students, faculty and staff, employers, and community members. This Plan provides a framework for NPC leadership by focusing efforts on the goals and initiatives that will serve students while preparing for the future.

August 2024 Finalize members of strategic planning committee
September 2024 Strategic planning committee initial meeting and training
September - October 2024
  • Review and consider ideas for new vision and values
  • Develop questions/format for focus groups
  • Schedule focus groups
October - November 2024 Conduct focus groups with community, students, faculty/staff
January - February 2025
  • Analyze data from focus groups
  • Propose possible options for new vision/values and overall strategic goals/initiatives
March 2025 Finalize strategic plan draft
March - April 2025 Present strategic plan draft to President’s Cabinet
April - May 2025
  • Update Board Policy 1.300 – Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Finalize strategic plan
May 2025
  • Present strategic plan to Board of Trustees at annual Budget Retreat
  • Resolution to approve Board Policy 1.300 at Board Meeting
  • Request approval of strategic plan at Board Meeting
June 2025 Publish the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan to NPC website
July 2025 Deploy new strategic plan
August 2025
  • Presentation of new strategic plan during fall workshop
  • Implementation of year one objectives
